What matters most when choosing a magnetic tile brand?

If ingested, magnets can damage the organs lining and stick together causing serious, potentially fatal, injuries. Knowing what sort abuse magnetic tiles can endure, it is critical to choose a brand that won't easily break and let the magnets on the loose. I won't name and shame, but there are brands out there that experience recurring issues of the sorts that you won't find in our store.
Strength
It may not seem like much, but the difference between magnets that can hold 2 vs 4 tiles together will have a critical impact on the quality of play. It may be the difference between a patient, ambitious child, engrossed in bringing their vision to life, and an easily upset tornado ready to throw in the towel in two minutes to turn to an easier and more predictable activity that doesn't require as much effort.
